It used to take a major snowstorm for schools to be cancelled around here. Slowly but surely that changed over time, to the point that now even an inch or two causes a cancellation or delay.

Cold temperatures never caused schools to be called off. But with lows a little below zero, many schools took today off, and will tomorrow as well.

Below zero temps were routine every winter until recently, sometimes as low as -15 to -20. Now all of a sudden-3 isa big deal, the lead story in the news and cause for near hysteria. I attribute the climate changes to chemtrails more than global warming, as the fake clouds caused by chemtrails result in lower high temperatures and higher low temps. At any rate, what a bunch of prissies society has been transformed into -- fear of frostbite, fear of a couple of inches of snow, fear of school shooters, fear of terrorists, fear of Arabs and Muslims, fear of being nuked, fear of "bird flu," the list goes on and on. Land of the free and home of the brave, yeah right. . .

I know what you mean, Don. We had a cold winter out here this year, and I'm glad they don't shut anything down for it. If they see a snowflake in the South, the doors are shut almost immediately.

The working and middle class Whites in general are not the ones who are afraid. When 911 happened common people rushed to help while politician with one exception disappeared. The people in power are the ones who are afraid in general.

Don,

I have to agree wholeheartedly. The schools here in the Youngstown - Warren area are doing the same thing. Much to our childrens disgust, with homeschooling, snow days become non-existentsmileys/smiley2.gif

The second story on the local news tonight was the weather, as we are having "scattered snow showers" and "whipping winds." Oh no, cancel all meetings!

Part of it is the result of a soft society, but it's also because on many days there just isn't that much news to report, especially on weekends when government is off. Thank Godthere's always theAnna Nicole Smith story to update. . . smileys/smiley29.gif

Plenty of news like the economy’s falling apart (no that might get people angry at the powers that be can’t report that) ok lots of crimes (oh, just can’t report on nonwhites crimes too much Whitey might start thinking that the nonwhites are mean). smileys/smiley36.gif
