How much real and figurative occultism and if you will mass-psychological technology goes into what makes headlines? That's about all it is in my book. The Systemites are known devil worshipers and operate by occult schemes in the original sense of being concealed from public view -- what appears sometimes as an endless series of layers of trouble and mayhem and how it's achieved.
Report From Iron Mountain, whether actually or satirically, brilliantly compares the System's manipulation of the public mind (if you can call it that) to what an electronic circuit does to current.
