Here are the majority white 2005 Division 1-A College Football teams out of the 89 thatI and a couple of other guys from Caste Footballhave researched so far. These numbersare based on22 starters total includingoffense and defense, not special teams.White high school"skill position" playersshould pay attention to this list, as it gives a good indication of which teams will give you a shot at playing time, rather than converting you to another position or burying you on the depth chart.
1. BYU-19
2. Boise State and Ohio-17
4. Utah-16
5. Army, Wyoming, Northwestern, and Colorado State-15
9. Cincinatti, Ball State, Rice, Air Force, and Iowa
State-14
14. Miami of Ohio, Utah State, North Texas, Navy, and
Idaho-13
19. Ohio State, Wisconsin, Colorado, Vanderbilt, West
Virginia, and Buffalo-12
25. Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Kentucky, Florida
International, Indiana, Stanford, Duke, Kansas
State, Tulsa, and Arizona State-11
Notre Dame, Boston College, Illinois, Kansas, Wake Forest, TCU, Akron, and California just missed the list with 10 out of 22. We are hopeful that Notre Dame will become whiter over the next 2 or 3 years as Weis takes over the program and it's recruiting, but it is too early to tell for sure. There arequite a number ofmajority white teams still out there, we just have to document them. Some teams with 9 or 10 actually ended up with more than half whites starting by seasons end, because in most cases whites are still a majority of the total team although not always the majority of starters.
