The ANU website currently has a story on Ron Paul. I have been reading columns written by Paul (mostly on Lew Rockwell.com) for years. He does seem like a breath of fresh air in the festering putrescence that is American politics. He has a chance to create an early stir, but if he looks like he is gaining early traction, just watch astheMSM and BOTH parties attack himin the most hysterical and dishonest way possible. The dirt will fly and he will be denied a chance to respond.
I like Tom Tancredo also, but he is (at this point) a one-issue guy. I don't feel I know as much about his general political views. Also. since that "one issue" is Mexican immigration, it will be easier for the Republicrats and MSM to label him with the R word.
I think Ron Paul is our best shotfor getting our views some exposure. As much as I respect Tancredo (and a very few others) I'm planning to concentrate my meager support on Ron Paul. When resources are small, it's best not to divide them.
Hi 308! Glad to have you abord the ANU Boards!
Paul is the ideal candidate for Nationalists, bar none. It would be an absolute miracle if his name were allowed to appear on ballotsin any primaries or actual elections, but a Paul for President email will be most nice to send to the inevitable Republican Lovers and Panty Pinkos that we all work with in the workplace
Ron Paul is what I would call a "Pragmatic Libertarian" as opposed to the "Fundamentalist Libertarians" who do a lot of writing about a utopia that is unachievable (and probably undesirable). Ron Paul is also a politician, in the sense that he is smart enough to keep his foot out of his mouth.
As some point out, hehasn't put himself on record as opposing the great Zionist conspiracy, or as espousing racialism, but that is good. It gives his zillions of opponents less easy ammunition. Paul is a principled man. He is a straight talker who has a consistent philosophy, and I suspect I would be hard pressed to find any bill where I thought he voted incorrectly.
I will give him what support I can (not much) and hope others will also. If he can stay in the race long enough to get some exposure, it should be fun to watch. The MSM and the party whores will go nuts! (Can you imagine him debating a creature like McCain?)
It would be best if opponants of the current Republicrat regime banded together behind one candidate. Paul or Tancredo would be worlds better then any other guy out there so it would be a shame if they split the support. Imagine a ticket with the both of them on it, now that would be something.
Ron Paul has my vote as well. If I could only stuff a ballot box like a Democrat!
I would suggest that anyone wanting to help Dr. Paul do it NOW! His message would be accepted by voters, if they get to hear it. But Americans are ignorant and lazy and only "know" what is fed them. I have given him all I can give already--maybe he will be able to buy a radio ad or 2 in Iowa or New Hampshire and get onto the radar screens.
The corporate media hates a candidate like Dr. Paul (no kosher stamp from AIPAC, ADL, CFR, TLC, BG) and phase 1 of their campaign against him will be to ignore him and try to keep him in the "Brand X" category (no all-important "Name Recognition").
If he can get a little traction, maybe he can force the media into phase 2 (character assassination). In their gut Americans hate the media, so phase 2 could easily backfire.
More pay dirt!

<H3 =post-title>More Ron Paul Quotes </H3>
In this "expose" from 1996, the Houston Chronicle tried (and failed) to derail Paul's Congressional bid by printing the following quotes made by Paul regarding race and the dangers posed by Zionism:
"Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action," Paul wrote.
<DIV>Paul continued that politically sensible blacks are outnumbered "as decent people." Citing reports that 85 percent of all black men in the District of Columbia are arrested, Paul wrote: "Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,' I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal," Paul said.
</DIV>
<DIV>Paul also wrote that although "we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers."
</DIV>
He added, "We don't think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That's true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such."
The same article quoted Paul as having this to say with regards to the Zionist lobby:
Stating that lobbying groups who seek special favors and handouts are evil, Paul wrote, "By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the bad sort is the Israeli government" and that the goal of the Zionist movement is to stifle criticism.

Dr Ron Paul'sinterest by the voters is expanding at a strong rate, to become the Next President of the United States. Reading the information belowyou will see why.
Dr Ron Paul is considered by his peers in medicine as extremely intelligent and is well versed in the history of the Unites States and the World. Dr Paul has always followed the Constitution, 100%.
Study all the candidates and you will understand why Dr Ron Paul,is an outstanding candidate.
If you like Dr Ron Paul, please help in any way you can,he must win the primary. You must resister for the primary and vote in the primary.
In any debate he will win hands down. To date he has won every debate and will continue to win. All the other candidates are from the OldBoys Network, they cater to the special interest groups. When you see millions of dollars in there war chests, where do you think that money comes from????. That group has no interest in helping you, there objective is to make money byhaving the politicians pass laws to benefit them only.

Ron Paul for President Campaign Hires Top Internet Spammer
Posted by admin on 2007/7/5 12:16:19 (1882 reads)
By Ion Zwitter, Avant News Editor
Washington, D.C., September 12, 2007
The Ron Paul for President campaign announced today it had hired Roy R. Schecter, a widely vilified international purveyor of spam email, to bolster its seemingly unstoppable grass-roots Internet campaign. A spokesman for Ron Paul said Schecter, 26, will take charge of coordinating the campaign's innovative Internet marketing efforts.
"Our supporters have being doing a great job carpet-bombing all the major social networking sites, such as Digg, Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, and so on, with Ron Paul's message" Fido Willhauser, a Ron Paul for President campaign spokesman, said. "But not everybody on the Internet visits those sites. So we decided we needed to broaden our outreach, and what better medium for a shoestring campaign than mass unsolicited emails?"
Mr. Willhauser said Mr. Schecter, a reclusive semi-retired Internet marketing specialist based on the island of Gibraltar, will personally oversee the unsolicited email distribution of Dr. Paul's often controversial libertarian message to "about two billion Internet users worldwide, three times a week."
"In addition to the core messages of Dr. Paul's campaign, which include strong support for selective interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, the immediate deportation of all illegal aliens, more assault rifles for toddlers, zero taxes and the eventual dismantling of all branches of federal government," Mr. Willhauser said, "Mr. Schecter will be tasked with energizing 'Paul's Pushers'. These are a small but growing legion of volunteer supporters who see to it that every single news report or opinion piece having anything to do with Ron Paul – if it's supportive of the candidate, that is – makes it to the top of every single social networking site out there."
Mr. Willhauser said Paul's Pushers, together with the two billion planned recipients of Mr. Schecter's email missives, will be encouraged to "find every political poll out there on the Internet and vote Ron Paul into the stratosphere."
Paul's Pushers, Mr. Willhauser said, will have access to a secret database of proxy servers they may use to "spoof" their IP addresses, thus allowing them to vote in Internet polls as many times as they want.
"The more times they vote in any particular poll, the more times they will show how much they care about democracy," Mr. Willhauser said.
A senior campaign strategist on the Ron Paul campaign, who asked to remain unidentified given what some critics have called the fundamentally undemocratic nature of the campaign effort, said, "Electoral popularity and fundraising are mutually self-fulfilling prophecies. If we, through the efforts of Paul's Pushers and Mr. Schecter's spam, can make Ron Paul look like a viable candidate, then presto, he will be a viable candidate, despite the undeniable radicalism of many of his views. Seeing is believing, and if there's a more democratic concept than that, I'd sure like to hear it."
Mr. Schecter was unavailable for comment.

<H4>Libertarian presidential candidate Ron Paul is reaching across many lines</H4>
By Michael J. Mishak
Las Vegas Sun
The punk band members, with spiked hair, tattooed arms and pierced everythings, stood with a crowd of more than 300 and cheered at the rock star on stage, especially when he called for abolishing the Federal Reserve - you know, the banking system that for nearly a century has helped stabilize the U.S. economy, give or take a Great Depression.
Presidential candidate Ron Paul didn't stop with the Fed. The devout and suddenly popular Libertarian-running-as-a-Republican also wants to repeal the Patriot Act. (More cheering.) And the IRS and NAFTA-like trade deals. (Loud applause.) And bring home American troops, all of them, from Iraq and from every last spot on the globe. (Standing ovation.) And that national ID card, forget about it.
The crowd's thunderous approvals might be expected in Nevada, especially the rural counties with their strong Libertarian streak.
But this wasn't Elko or Winnemucca. This was Paris Las Vegas on the Strip one morning a week ago. The crowd was young, urban, and what you might even call hip.........

I have supported Ron Paul financially already and may do so again, although it looks like he is getting plenty of donations. I heard he has received more from people in the military than any other candidate. I have been telling everyone about him.
By the way, you can hear a Ron Paul supporter (and a self-described paleo-Conservative) on theinternet everyday on Supertalk Mississippi's JT and Dave Radio Show.Dave is the guy I'm speaking of, although JT is pretty conservative for a younger guy. It airs M-F from 10AM - 1PM. Here's the link you can go to and then click on the LIVE AUDIO (Click here to listen) area on the left side of the page.

Dr. Paul did two big events here in upcountry SC today. The Spartanburg County GOPhad already planned a big regular meeting and when RP's visit materialized the GOP chair was instantly heard blathering that they wouldn't accept RP at it.... but as you may know the public demanded he eat his words, which he did.(Really didn't take many calls and emails, either!!)Thus last night's Patriot Network meeting in Fountain Inn found three audience members in the back frantically making table decorations for that event—Ilona, Paul and me.
Ilona and Paul were up there in Spb at 9 this morning paving the way for the big deal. The $25 luncheon was a grand success with its extra-special guest of honor, RP. Then, this, afternoon at the Carolina First Center (formerly Expo Center in downtown Greenville, the BIG deal—Dr. Paul's speech toabout a thousand cheering, fed-up, hepped-upAMERICANS from as far away as Virginia and Florida!
The 3 PM shindig started a bit late bit this only added to the thrill of expectation. The event was most agreeably emceed by the program manager of Greenville's main talk station WORD-AM. The local GOP chief spoke and a preacher prayed—neither one saying a word about the excitement or its cause, hmm!
Mrs. Paul was introduced to loud, happy cheering andsat down in the front row of the audience. Suddenly the lights went dark anda film started playing on a big screen up front: scenes from the nationalRon Paul campaign! This was ecstasy. It showed among other great things a procession of grassroots Americans parading through a presidential candidatewingding from which RP had initially been excluded—twenty-one minutes worth of them—chanting WHO DO YOU WANT? RON PAUL! all the way.
The lights came on, and after (I think) a few more words from the emcee, he shouted "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, REPRESENTATIVE RON PAUL!"
You can imagine the the tumult of the reception he received—then, and every time he really hit a nerve in his speech. He launched right into it as if he was picking up where he'd left off the last one which was fine—issues, issues, ISSUES as they're NEVER addressed by ANY other sitting Congressman.
I hate (in a jolly good perfectly all right way) to say it, but it was all anticlimactic in a sense: virtually everyone there already agreed with each other about everything. RP even said so well into his talk, calling it preaching to the choir—but the motions must be gone through, of couse, especially for new people an the media (insofar as they pay any attention to the real world). Don't doubt we loved every minute of it.
WhenRP finished he mingled with the crowd for some time, patiently signing about 100 bumper stickers (including mine) before they ushered him off to another room for a $1000-a-plate dinner.
Our hero of course disappears in the picture below because of the huge CROWD that came out. There was lots more crowd behind me as I took this shot, too. [HELL'S BELLS, THE PIC WON'T PASTE.]
Like all rightist events this was like a big happy family reunion as well. I saw for the first time in a long time Rippin' Richie (so-called because he called the media to witness his open destruction of pornography in a Barnes Ignoble bookstore), Chet C. with one of the two secretaries of his company that he's ushering into the real world, Angel M with whom I picketed the courthouse in Charleston over ExpendableElite.com, Vicki S with whom I lobbied on Real ID with her husband (whom I'd never met), ad infinitum. GA state Rep. Bobby Franklin was there—a fine conservative statesman when he's not groveling before Je$$e Jack$on and helpingcut the GA state flag. Robert Clarkson—Doctor South himself—was greatly in evidence as volunteer social director and living legend.
I mentioned the new director of WORD radio before, Bob McLain by name. A Patriot Network compadre (Gene F.) gave me the great news that its grade-B+talk show host Ralph Bristol has gone to greenerpastures in TN but that Bob has taken his place behind the mike........ and lets callers run on as long as they want about the Jewish problem.
http://newsradioword.com/pages/217250.php?
The GOP chairman highlighted Greenville's centrality to the political process: no Republican presidential candidate has lost Greenville and gotten the nomination going back to 1984 or earlier.
You don't want to miss one of our family reunions, gang. Hey, when did you say you're moving here?

<div style="text-align: center;">The Aug. 11, 2007 Iowa Straw Poll
Thousands of Patriots Are Going
</font><div style="text-align: left;">
Any patriot living within convenient driving distance of Ames, Iowa should consider joining the huge crowd of patriots converging on this little college town for the hugely important Iowa Straw Poll August 11, 2007.
This Iowa Straw Poll may end up being the most pivotal event of the 2008 elections. The Ron Paul Revolution has a real chance to win this straw poll. Thousands of Ron Paul patriots are already certain to be converging on the Iowa State Campus in Ames for the 10am to 6pm straw poll.
The easiest way to get connected to these thousands of patriots is to go to www.ronpaul.meetup.com and type in your zip code. The Meetup.com software will show you the three Ron Paul Meetup Groups nearest your zip code.
As of July 24, 2007 there are 29,500 members in 570 Ron Paul Meetup Groups in 500 cities. I put up about 8 YouTube videos of interviews with Ron Paul supporters at the July 4 Young Republicans National Convention in Hollywood, Florida. There will be hundreds of YouTube videos produced out of the August 11 Iowa Straw Poll.
If you live in Iowa, PLEASE attend, since you can vote in the poll. You only need to be an Iowa resident with any form of Iowa ID. It will cost you $35 to vote. And you may be able to get a free ticket to vote from one of the candidates.
But, also PLEASE attend if you live outside Iowa. A jubilant crowd of thousands of us roaring out patriotic shouts at this event where we'll be providing ALL of the energy is guaranteed to swing MANY Iowans over to voting for Ron Paul that day. Maybe thousands will be thus swayed.
As many as 40,000 people may show up in Ames (pop. 50,000). One half of Ames is the college kids at Iowa State. The larger city of Des Moines is 30 miles south of Ames, in the heart of Iowa. About 26,000 Iowans are expected to vote in the straw poll. This straw poll precedes the final Iowa primary in January by five months. All of the national media will be in Ames on August 11. The candidates who win big in Ames will get a HUGE, HUGE boost for this entire five month run-up to the primaries.
So, if you live in any neighboring State: Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, please do anything you can to be in Ames or help others get there. And if you live further away, it's still very worth the effort to make the trip. If you need more information you can phone me at any hour at 561 351-4424.

What a great trip to South Carolina! On Saturday, I talked to the Spartanburg County GOP. About 350 people attended from all over the South, and the local party made $5000 out of it. Originally, this had seemed to be unfriendly territory, but everyone couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming. And we all learned something.
Then I spoke to a rally in Greenville. The local papers were less biased than most, but they still estimated the crowd at 500. We had set the room with 1100 chairs, and almost all of them were taken. In addition, people stood in ranks at the back and sides. In other words, there were mor e than 1000 people there.
This crowd -- also from all over the South, and thanks to all those who drove hours to be there -- was typically diverse. Lots of young people, but also lots of families with children. And seniors too. I talked about foreign and domestic policy, and noted that those concerned about pollution must support private property. Government property is never well cared for. Just look at the environmental problems left over from the USSR!
I also talked about sound money and the Federal Reserve, about the inflation it is inflicting on us, and about the recessions it causes, and the unjust redistribution of wealth it brings about. A young man who drove up from Auburn, Alabama, said he’d never thought he’d see the day when a call to abolish the central bank would receive a long standing ovation in American politics.
But if there is one thing we know, people are hungry for the truth. And that is especially true of this mom ent. I found the same concerns at a picnic of local political activists I attended. I even got questions about Austrian economics!
Last Tuesday in Georgia, Dr. Paul Broun defeated state senator John Whitehead in a special election to Congress. John had all the establishment and money on his side. But Paul discussed obedience to the Constitution, limited government, the failure of the national Republican leadership, and a less aggressive foreign policy. And he won. Columnist Robert Novak said this “terrified” all the establishment types in the Republican Party. I had talked to Paul during his campaign, and was thrilled to congratulate him on his victory. There is a new wind blowing.
Our bottom-up campaign -- not top-down in the usual official fashion -- has gotten far bigger and more successful, at a faster rate, than even I dreamed. And the sky is the limit. Don't we owe it to our great forbears, and to our children and grandchildren and great g randchildren down through the generations, not to lose our country? We can win the fight for the ideals of the founders. We can have freedom, peace, and prosperity. We can be blessed by our fellow citizens, and by all those who come after us.
Come, join me in this great endeavor with your most generous contribution. https://www.<WBR>ronpaul2008.<WBR>com/donate/
Sincerely,
Ron

From the Ron Paul comments on South Carolina:
"but they still estimated the crowd at 500."
I saw what that lying media lackey, Dan Hoover, wrote in the Greenville "News". 500. HAH!! I was there. At least 1,000.
And I wonder if some were turned away after the doors were closed?
They are so afraid of what's going on, they (the controlled MSM) have to resort to blatant lies and try to marginalise the number of attendees.
However, there are now over 1,000 witnesses to the fact that the Greenville News, (not only can't spell or evern report a fender-bender properly), but does not know how to estimate crowd size and report accurately. Makes one wonder what other factsare skewed bythe G'ville "News".
The number of young people there was encouraging. And their response to the Ron Paul speech, also encouraging.
While walking into the rally, two men came by, dragging a South Carolina state flag and the gold fringed yankee flag on heavy flag stands. I loudly said to the man dragging the yankee flag that it was a shame we had to have that flag in this rally. Instantly, two youths walking about 20 feet back, said something like, "You got that right." The comment surprised me from the youth. I have no idea who they were. Never had seen them before.
At least some youth are connecting the dots.
The one demographic group missing at the rally was the dispensational rapture monkeys. I guess they put their yankee car flag on the SUV and went to the mall, like good "patriotic" citizens do.
This is the first time I have ever seen or heard Ron Paul speak. I liked what he said. I hope he's not fooling us. I hope we aren't disappointed later, like Ronald Reagan turned out to be.
One of the best ways to get across to people who Ron Paul IS is to clue them that whenever you hear Congress voted on something unanimously except for one vote, Ron Paul is usually that vote.
USEFUL case, courtesy Southern News (Chairman@ConfederateWave.org):
9. Congressman Ron Paul takes politically incorrect stand. Congressman Ron Paul voted against giving for a medal to honor civil rights leader Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks first gained fame in 1955 for the famous Montgomery Alabama bus boycott. The boycott sent Martin Luther King to national prominence. The vote was 424-1 vote in favor of casting a medal to honor Rosa Parks. Again Ron Paul believed in standing alone for what he that was right. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/22/ma.../22Paul-t.html

Subject: Online Ron Paul Rally
Dear Freedom Lover,
<DIV>
We are holding an online rally for Dr. Paul.
We are doing this to publically and visibly display our support for his principled and consistent message of freedom and limited government.
We want this rally to be truly *massive*. We are going to show that, as Dr. Paul says:
Freedom is popular!
We need every Ron Paul supporter and freedom lover to get involved. Right now.
Please join us. Go to:
http://rally.ronpaulplanet.org
Then send this message to everyone you can think of.

<DIV>"I have never been one who is comfortable talking about my faith in the political arena. In fact, the pandering that typically occurs in the election season I find to be distasteful. But for those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God. My record of public service reflects my reverence for the Natural Rights with which we have been endowed by a loving Creator."</DIV>

Senator "Traitor" McCain made a campaign stop in Spartanburg, S.C. today.
It was encouraging to see some Ron Paul people there, taking McCain to task.
The Ron Paul Revolution is indeed gaining momentum.
IMO, McCain is still in it until he gets his FEC check. Then, IMO, I think he will bow out. (This is just my opinion, no documents to support it)
Go Ron Paul!
I am very glad to see that statement of faith by Dr. Paul. That is something I have been wondering about, but figured it was less important because of the stands he was taking on issues. I figured he is a Christian because of it, but I am very pleased to know it for fact now.
