This is not corruption, it’s actually how the system is supposed to work–you are either appointed by your Congressman, or are the son of a Medal of Honor winner.
That being so, it is really urgent that the actual graduation and passing of courses are on a pure, uncorrupted, meritocratic basis so we get officers who can actually steer the ship without sinking it.
This is really, really, important because of some those ships are powered by nuclear reactors and have nuclear bombs on board, so affirmative action risks a lot more than the loss in a few dollars in profits in the division headed by the affirmative action case–which modern corporations think of as part of the cost of doing business.

If I remember my history right Affirmative Action was sold to ignorant white Americans as "not a hand out, but a hand up" for the oppressed black man! Affirmative Action has been a serious cancer on the face of white society.
Heck, the truth is Affirmative Action came into being because even white liberal self appointed social engineers (communists) already understood that the black race as a whole cannot make it on their own merits in white western society. So they began beating the drums of "white guilt" in schools and the press to prep ignorant white Americans for their solution of a Affirmative Action program that guilt ridden Americans will pay for!

I don't know if any white South Africans (Afrikaners) are allowed to immigrate to the U.S. I believe Afrikaners are of Dutch and British decent. I have read that many have left SA for Britain after having family members killed, raped, and beaten by roving groups of machete welding blacks, and their farms confiscated by the government and divided up among black supporters of this Communist regime!
Now this once prosperous nation and a major exporter of grain and goods is now a dieter nation that is very dangerous to live in if you are white.
