The hotel hosting the American Renaissance conference has cancelled, at least for now, under pressure from anti-White thugs and terrorists. Jared Taylor has been holding this event every other year since 1994 and has never had this happen before. Hopefully the hotel will either reconsider or another venue will be found in the northern Virginia area:

That's a really ugly thing to happen, but not at all unexpected. The Obama-ites are REALLY angry at the sudden surge of White America. Neither is it surprising that a hotel near DC would knuckle under. It's not unnoticed how VIGOROUS the American Renaissance event has become. This year would be a standing-room-only event. I actually think the cancellation is poor publicity for Leviathan. Underemployed White America is in no mood for anti-White shenanigans
-
Jared Taylor may be wise to schedule future conferences in different areas rather than always in northern Virginia. The CofCC, which is more reviled by the professional haters than AmRen, schedules its national conferences in the Deep South and never has any problems.
-
Washington Examiner, eh? What do y'all know about it? Can't tell from this, which is probably a bad sign considering I've never seen a copy in all my travels through the write wing.

Any new news on whether AmRen has found another hotel yet? I checked their site but haven't seen anything. I hope they find another one before it is too late.
-
It could be that Jared Taylor has to play it very close to the vest at this point. He probably never thought that AmRen would have to do what more militant pro-White groups have been forced to do: keep his meeting place undisclosed until the last minute. What's going on certainly makes the logistics for everyone involved, both organizers and attendees, much more difficult and time consuming, which is a big reason why the totalitarian anti-White thugs try to get hotels to cave in and cancel.
-
That's probably it, Don. I imagine it would make things tough for everyone. I hope to get to one of these meetings at some point in the future.
-
I figured the DC Examiner was as GardenState says. Pleasantly shocked to hear the RepubliCONservatives finally started to feel a little funny supporting a paper run by the wackiest cult that ever hit the big time. It is very </span>strange and the Repcons have gone for many</span> years without showing a bead of sweat over the obvious incongruity of it all. Even Jerry Foolwell has gotten mixed up in it. Tilt! Doesn't compute!!!

The 12 Feb 2010 www.amren.com website continues to carry this banner:
-
This conference will happen, perhaps at an open air venue at a warmer time of year, and double the amount of folks attending due to the publicity of having it shut down,White America is being forced to wake up and they are realizing that most civil rights are being destroyed in the country, and are looking ahead to what the next generation will face, the AMren folks have proven themselves time and again as solid people, and carry with them the most important tool to prevail,THE TRUTH!
As far as hotels go,in America, they are bastions of political correctness almost completely run by power, pressure, minority groups, and the White male heterosexual employees face a psychological battle just showing up for work each day.
-
Greater DC has to be one of the most Hebreo-hostile places on earth. I wonder ifAmrRen wouldget along better scheduling it in Alaska or Wyoming in midsummer? Wikipedia cites a figure of 0% gews in WY.
Or maybe aim for one of the morepolitically screwed-up but lily-white states, Vermont or New Hampshire. Maybe there's a Free State Project member who owns a hotel thereor whatever.
In fact AmRen might want to consider leaving greater DC entirely. Just checked Wiki on Herndon, Va., for fun.... andthat article containsa richrichRICH diversity moment. It does everything but say "AND THUS THE POLITICIANS LEARNED HOW STUPIDPC IS":
The town of Herndon was part of a nationally-reported controversy involving illegal immigration beginning in 2005.[7] The controversy revolved around a day labor center called the Herndon Official Worker Center (HOW Center), constructed by the town and operated by Reston Interfaith's Project Hope and Harmony under a grant from surrounding Fairfax County. The HOW Center was created in response to daily gatherings of Hispanic workers at a local 7-Eleven store[7] and resulting allegations of gang activity, public drunkenness, and public urination.[8] What had started as a local issue became national news when the Minuteman Project anti-illegal immigration group joined the local groups opposing the day laborers[9] and watchdog group Judicial Watch sued the town and county to block the center's construction.[10] The HOW Center opened in December 2005, on the site of the former Herndon Police headquarters.[11] The 2006 election for Mayor and Town Council revolved mainly around the issue, and resulted in unseating the pro-center Mayor and two councilmembers.[9] The center closed after less than two years of operation, in September 2007. The Town Council had demanded that any operator of the day-labor center check the laborers' identification, and a subsequent court decision required the town to open the center to all workers.[12] The Town Council chose instead to close the center entirely.[12][13]

Here's the email Jared Taylor sent out today:
<DIV>
Dear AR conference registrant,
We regret to inform you that today, February 15, the hotel at which we planned to hold the conference canceled its contract with us. Hostile callers phoned the hotel and threatened employees with death. One was specifically warned, “If you hold this conference I will go in there and shoot you.” Hotel management reported these threats to the police but felt it had no choice but to cancel.
We had backup possibilities, but all have fallen through, so we will not be holding the February 19-21 conference.
We are very sorry for the great inconvenience this no doubt causes you.
If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to American Renaissance in the amount of your registration that would be welcome. However, we stand ready to refund all registrations and banquet fees. Please let us know by return e-mail how you would like us to proceed.
We understand that many of you have bought non-refundable air tickets. Generally, the amount spent on such tickets can, for a period of a year, be used to buy a different ticket on the same airline. However, most airlines then deduct $150 from the amount that can be spent to buy the new ticket. If you bought a non-refundable ticket, please send us proof of purchase and we will send you a check for $150. We do not want anyone to suffer financial loss because of this cancellation.
Again, please accept our apologies for this very disappointing outcome. We value your continuing support and deeply regret that we will not be seeing you on February 19.
Best regards,
Jared Taylor

What a shame! People (e.g. the hotel staff) have no guts. Most death threats are bogus.
-
Great news! Well done by everyone who worked together to rescue it.
-
That's a real hotel, too -- obviously they finally found a hotelier living in the real world! We have to expect miracles, they happen all the time......
-
Well, hate to bring everyone down again, but the conference is off....again.

<h1>AR Conference is Canceled — Again</h1>
Jared Taylor, American Renaissance,
Feb. 17, 2010.
This message was sent to all conference registrants at 7:00 p.m.
today.
Dear AR Conference Registrant,
We regret to inform you that at 6:30 pm today, February 17, the
Capitol Skyline hotel, which had promised to withstand pressure,
canceled the conference.
We informed the hotel of all circumstances surround the previous
cancellations, including death threats, and the hotel still agreed to
hold the conference. We had every reason to believe it would hold firm.
We feel just as betrayed as you do.
We will be in touch later to discuss how to handle refunds of
conference registrations and other matters.
Best regards,
Jared Taylor

Change the date from February 2010 to February 2011
A head-scratcher. Why is this event "announced" at all? It just gets cancelled every time. Or why not hold the conference in Birmingham or Charleston, where it's much less likely to be cancelled?
-
Right -- and is it inconceivable some private space is available? Too bad our Dr. Wilson here inSC is dead -- that would have fixed it right there.

"Luke" had this to say about the event, in ANUNEWS.net:
"Realgeorge poses a very good question. I've wondered the same thing, as I am sure many others in the white nationalist community have, too. Perhaps we should look at this from a slightly different perspective? Jared Taylor has a reputation for refusing to name the #1 enemy, and he instead prefers to place all the blame upon the victims of the enemy's evil and treachery. So, as it has been noted - he continues to follow the same basic template, which can be summarized thus: (1) He encourages and permits the enemy to place moles inside the AR community, and therefore, inside the white nationalist movement. (2) He follows the same formula for his conferences, with only the slightest of modifications, such as choosing Charlotte, NC over Herndon, VA for this year's gathering. The last conference that went off okay, was the one where the in-the-audience jew Michael Hart threw a big hissy fit over a simple question that David Duke stood up and asked one of the speakers. That question dealt with the issue of whether America had a far more dangerous and harmful enemy already inside our gates, and was the hysteria about Muslim invasions of White nations really the highest priority issue to solve? Is it a coincidence that AR hasn't been able to hold a conference since that one? I think not. Also, if white nationalists put on their thinking caps and engage their brains a little - they would understand just how clever and determined this foe is to complete their genocide of all European people - and it might occur to them that this enemy wages war by way of deception and trickery. Its the Game Theory warfare principle, fellow anunews fans. Staging provocations which the game theorists can then mathematically calculate the most probable reactions and responses to, is how this enemy operates in plain sight. By cleverly setting up scenarios whereby they can arrogantly deny the Constitutionally protected rights of White Americans to 'peaceably assemble' in order to discuss their grievances and to share their ideas on how their group should proceed in the future - they can arouse anger and resentment, and also sow the fatal seeds of resignation and a sense of defeat. Which begs the question - is Jared Taylor a willing participant in this game theory warfare model, or is he simply too naive and trusting of our #1 enemy to recognize this formula? Also, is it possible that this enemy seeks to deliberately provoke the white nationalist community by a clear violation of our Constitutionally protected rights? Are they trying to goad us into doing something illegal, that they can then pounce upon and use as an excuse to paint all white nationalists as dangerous domestic enemies of the State? Anybody besides me remember how Stalin wanted to murder the dissident Kulaks, but cleverly demonized them in advance so as to condition the minds of the Russians to not oppose these slaughters? Deja Vu, Brutus? "
-
And the Realgeorge reply:
Thank you, Luke! You provide thoughtful analysis on this strange condition, where suddenly AR can't convene a meeting. More oddness that doesn't add up: The openly Nazi "NSM-88" group holds meetings and rallies all the time, and they don't get cancelled. In its heyday, the National Alliance held big rallies and meetings in hotels too. Even the American Nationalist Union, before 9-11 caused major economic setback to the organization, held meetings in hotels. In short, all SORTS of heavy-duty Rightist organizations manage to meet publicly on USA soil, and provide accommodations to members. Why can't AR meet without a disaster? .... After a short hiatus during the Bush JR presidency, Far-right Nationalist groups are prospering again, proliferating, with lots of print media (First Freedom lists twenty-one Far-right journals with whom it sympathizes). The AR annual failure-a-thon makes me frustrated, and look to OTHER Far-right groups that can get it right.
