The NRA was never the group, but the GOA

The National Rifle Association has gotten most of the press, money and members, but Gun Owners of America has always been the real thing. The GOA have rightly striven ""to differentiate themselves from the larger National Rifle Association (NRA), and have publicly criticized the NRA on multiple occasions for what the GOA considers to be the selling out of the gun rights movement" (Wikipedia).

I was a NRA member for years until just recently. I did not renew my membership this last time around because I could no longer stand the incestuous relationship the NRA maintains with the Republican party!
So many times it was the very people who are working to enslave me and my children that were asked to give a rousing speech at the annual convention.

Especially the chapter titled "Walter Mitty's Second Amendment" - This describes most American gun owners today, who believe they are free men......because they still have Dad's old hunting rifle hidden away in the closet. (And if ever the government turned tyrannical they would have the means to do something about it!) </font>

Why have our elite rulers not confiscated guns already? Well for one they know some of us will shoot back, but mostly because allowing the people to "keep and bare arms" is a marvelous tool of social control, for it provides the people with the illusion of freedom!!
