A situation has developed where if a White team beats a nonwhite team it is either a non-event or due to "racism" but when a nonwhites team beats a White team it is proof of the nonwhites superior athletic ability. It has formed a type of "doublethink" where coaches and some fans internalize the belief that nonwhites (especially blacks) are superior athletes despite massive amounts of evidence to the contrary.
Much of this " doublethink" may have come about when University presidents (including Southern ones) would not hire couches that would find the best player but only ones who thought that blacks were the best players. Couches not being the brightest profession and many fans in time internalize these beliefs despite massive evidence to the contrary.

As with most taboo subjects in our country, there is no honest discussion concerning real biological differences between the races.
I can't remember the terminology of the particular perspective that many, in the early 20th century believed, that the Negro had 2-3 year physical maturity advantage. In other words the Negroes have reached maturity by age 17 or 18, while a Caucasian matures at a slower pace & doesn't reach their peak until 20-21 years of age.
This puts young White boys & girls at an immediate disadvantage, that most White parents are ignorant of.
It reminds me of the firing of Jimmy the Greek, when he had the nerve to tell a tv audience that Negroes of a particular era were bred to be physical specimen , by the slave holders.
Any college football coach could over time guarantee his success with an all White team, by simply starting his 20+ year old players first.

And even if the blacks mature faster, they still routinely lose to White teams in High School!

However, both schools recruit Black athletes for the beloved football programs from these very cities they have fled.
The Opiate of America: College Football in Black and White will be coming out in late July of this year. In it, you will begin to see why ostensibly conservative white people tolerate Black dysfunction in America: because they believe that only Black athletes can play a sport they base their entire life around - and live vicariously through - in college football.
It's sad. It's depressing (and it rivals the Afrikaners obsession with rugby which ultimately doomed their nation: remember, South Africa was barred from International Rugby as long as Apartheid existed), and the horrible state of Birmingham, Montgomery, Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus, Mobile, Memphis, Augusta, and Macon is excused away as long as 17 and 18-year-old Black recruits can be plucked away from the mean streets and enticed to play college football for Alabama, Georgia (UGA), Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Florida State, or Auburn University.

Like Obama, he appears to be a nice, articulate, bright, clean (though he should probably cut the “thug”-like dreads), nice-looking guy” that the primarily white NFL fan-base can cheer on.

White players are actively discriminated against in most professional sports, but especially football. Let's take one example: the stereotypically black position of wide receiver. In the 2013 Draft, of the 254 players selected, 28 were receivers (11 percent). Of those 28 receivers selected, only one was a white athlete—Texas A&M’s Ryan Swope, who ran the second fastest 40-yard-dash for a receiver at the NFL Combine, at 4.34.
He was selected in the sixth round, despite being one of the top receivers in college football, projected as a third or fourth round pick.
