That would be the "ADT" Security company
After decades of being ripped off by the lovely folks at ADT, I mustered the courage to drop them. And to rip their stupid "security" electronics out of my (parent's) house. No more false-alarm charges from our beloved County, nor unwanted alarms in middle of the night, nor the exorbitant expense of ADT's protection racket.
Well, can't have this now, an enlightened homeowner!! ADT, being quite piszed at losing another schmuck customer, has sent repeated correspondences to "repatriate" me. They threaten me with "higher insurance premiums" due to my lack of "professional security", and show gruesome ads of beaten homeowners run afoul by wanton burglars.
Well, B.S. !! The community I live in has its share of break-ins and muggings, and ADT can't do squat to fix the situation. I could easily break into any ADT home by merely climbing on the roof and cutting the 220-volt feed line to the house. In fact that mode of burglary is quite popular in the East Coast suburbs, especially Long Island (article in NY Post !) I calculate that recovery from a break-in (we haven't had one in 31 years) would cost much less than the 25 years of extorted cash that I and my parents paid to ADT.
ADT -- I say, drop 'em like a hot rock. Bet they're connected to all sorts of Zionista-owned companies. And they have all the incentive to run their own burglary ring. Why not? ADT supplies the break-ins, at opportune times, at small cost to the company. In exchange for scaring the pisz out of grandma and grandpa, not to mention Mr. and Mrs. suburban homeowner, ADT creates a superb fear business, and the slickest ads TV has ever seen. Bet my bottom dollar! and that makes me ADT's next target. I'll be waitingEdited by: Realgeorge

Virtually all ads today are lies. If a product is "hyped", I stay away from it. (Car dealer ads are absolutely the worst and most tastless of all)
Just think of the nice Beretta A391 home defense shotgun equipped with tacticaly light that could have been purchsed instead of all those fixed expenditures and fees? And how about a pair of nice Gen III night vision goggles? And a fence with a couple of mean sounding dogs?
Nothing wrong with learning vigilance at 2-3:00 in the morning.
Tell me about it, I just quit my job with ADT recently because out of over a hundred employees only a handful of us were not corrupt, the only problem was I was the only squeeky wheel. Most customers do not realize that they are purposely billed before their installation is complete or even started is a way for managers to make the financial forcast look much better and they receive bonuses for meeting their quotas so it is ok if Mr. Smith, Jones and Doe get billed a few day before they are due for installationsbecause they are scheduled until there phone is not installed yet, etc. When thecustomer calls they are thrown in two months free and the customer is happy but does not realize that this was done intentionally. Checks are constanly being lost, but how do the customers know that they are not the only ones. Sales reps bribe and payoff managers, installers and coordinators constantly to get leads and early install dates to make the sale. I watch honest sales reps struggle to get leads and saw certain corrupt reps get next day installs while the honest hard working reps got 2-3 weeks scheduled. YES this is what ADT is doing to its customers. This is after SOX was established. I mentioned my concerns to my manager and the loss of revenue due to many credits and was told that it was my job and not to worry about the revenue that it did not affect my pay. My concerns were for the customers and the shareholders and told just do my job. All audits were done internally so they were able to "scrub" the files.
Bravo for those who dump ADT, I just moved into a brand new house and will be using Brinks. ADT is too expensive and their customer services is awful. I also filed a complaint with the ombudsmand, never heard any response. My thought is the entire company is just as corrupt as our office was, I know the regional manager is for the entire state that I worked in is.
Thanks for posting. Hope you come back and make more posts! I wish you luck in your new endeavor, and we both are glad to leave ADT in the rearview mirror.
Home security dealers and Volunteer fire departments in my town each use similar strong-arm tactics to elbow their way into suburban wallets
