Pregnant woman charged with shooting herself
A woman who told police she had been shot in the abdomen was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with illegally inducing an abortion by shooting herself, resulting in the death of her full-term baby girl, police said.
Tammy Skinner, 22, also was charged with using a firearm to commit a felony and filing a false police report when she came to police headquarters at noon at the request of investigators, Suffolk police spokeswoman Lt. Debbie George said. Bond was set at $15,000.
Skinner called police on a cell phone early Thursday and said she had been shot. Emergency personnel found her at a Suffolk car dealership and took her to a hospital.
A charge of inducing an abortion is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine. Assistant Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney Marie Walls has said a murder charge could not be considered unless the baby had breathed on her own before dying.
George declined to discuss a motive in the case.
Skinner's father, Larry, told The Virginian-Pilot newspaper of Norfolk for a story published Tuesday that he has believed for some time that his daughter was depressed.
Family members said the single mother worked for temporary services trying to support her two younger children, girls ages 4 and 1. A couple years ago, her stepsister died from brain cancer, and Skinner's depression has increased since then, her father said.
"If I had known how bad off she was, I would have tried to get her help," Larry Skinner said, tearfully, adding that his daughter doesn't need to be in jail. "She needs help. She needs a lot of help."

I guess nobody's listening to me about calling this by their proper terms. It is NOT abortion, it's feticide, and there's a world of difference. But god news is good news, and that apparently includes Omaha being free of "free-standing" feticide mills. (Leaving perhaps hospitals? How many? [img]smileys/smiley23.gif[/img])
And this good news seems as good as anything for marking the eve of Independence Day #230,even as mindless yahoos are out there setting off fireworks in the next block.

"Women’s Services", Omaha’s only abortion chamber, has closed it’s doors making it, to our knowledge, the first U.S. city of its size to be without a free standing abortion mill.
After purchasing the building at 201 S. 46th St., the University of Nebraska Medical Center gave the abortion mill several months notice, plenty of time to relocate, but fortunately they were unable to find anyone willing to lease to them, forcing them to close.
Ironically, the originally owner , G.W. Orr, was employed by the U.N.M.C. But in 1973, the year of the infamous Roe vs. Wade S.C. decision, the university initiated a policy restricting him, and other abortionists, to killing "only" 15 babies per week. So, along with Marvin Dietrich, he left the U.N.M.C. to open the "Women’s Services" abortion chamber.
After Dietrich retired in the late 1970's, Orr found a new partner in C.J. LaBenz. Then, in 1979, LaBenz made national news when a baby was born alive after a late-term saline abortion of his. When notified of the situation, LaBenz told the nurse to leave the 2 pound 9 ounce child in what she termed a "dirty utility room" where the infant lay crying and eventually died two and a half hours later.
After Orr’s retirement, C.J. LaBenz has been the sole abortionist at Women’s Services. In 2002 he was arrested and charged with assaulting pro-life activist sharon McKee with his car and then,instead of helping her while she lay on the ground, he steals her clipboard, telephone (which was later returned damaged) and $350.00 in cash. Typical abortionist, after injuring a woman he preceeds to mug her. Later the charges were reduced to disturbing the peace after LaBenz agreed to replace the the broken phone and return the money.
Duringthe 33 year killing spree, it is estimated that over 60,000 pre-born boys and girls lost their lives at the "Women’s Services" abortion chamber. No child will ever die there again.

The last day I parked my van with signs on it near the abortion mill, May 4th, the Lord gave us a wonderful save. A young couple took the packet of literature
from Nicole in the driveway and 15 minutes later came out again. The girl gave Nicole a big hug of gratitude and told her she had cancelled her appointment. Praise God! </DIV>

<DIV align=left>We also had a turn-away, as a middle aged woman with a girl drove back and forth. She looked closely at the signs on my van, but did not go in! </DIV>

<DIV align=left>Some time last January or February, the wind blew my beat up paper cone onto the mill’s property. I was past due to make a new cone anyway, and I hadn’t been doing much preaching, so I made one and began preaching from behind the parking lot. The first day preaching with the new cone, I noticed a couple looking all over their car for something. I preached hard the entire time, warning them that an abortion would make them guilty before God of murder, a violation of His 6th Commandment. They showed no response, but just kept searching their car. I urged them to leave, to trust the LORD for this child, to let us help them if need be. After going in and out of the mill and looking more around their car, they finally did leave. About a half hour later they returned, but walked right over to where Carmen and I were standing. The young woman and man thanked us and gave us hugs for dissuading them from having an abortion.</DIV>

<DIV align=left>They had tried to reach the killing center the day before, but had a flat tire. Then, she couldn’t find her picture I.D., and the mill would not do her abortion without it! I believe they saw God’s hand in the circumstances that prevented them from carrying out their will, and they decided to submit to Him. </DIV>

I got to pray for her and her baby and she seemed encouraged and expressed thanks.</DIV>

<H3 =title align=left>Operation Rescue Buys Abortion Mill: Closed Clinic Will Become OR Headquarters and Memorial to Pre-born</H3>
<DIV =date align=left>June 30th, 2006 </DIV>
Wichita, KS – Operation Rescue has announced that it has purchased the building that housed Central Women’s Services, an abortion mill located at located at 3013 E. Central in Wichita, Kansas. The building will be renovated and serve as Operation Rescue’s headquarters, and will feature a memorial to the pre-born.
Quick action closes mill
Operation Rescue learned in late April that Central Women’s Services had not been able to pay its rent in months, and that the property was for sale. OR acted quickly to make an offer on the building through a third party, and specifically requested that the current tenant not be retained. That stipulation was placed into the real estate contract.
It was later learned that Central Women’s Services had come up with the back rent after the building had entered escrow, and asked to continue their rental agreement under the new owner. However, because the property was under contract, the abortion mill was instead forced to close.
“We have no doubt that if we had not moved quickly to buy that building, this abortion mill would still be in operation today,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.
50,000 dead babies
The abortion mill, which did business under a variety of names over a span of nearly 3 decades, had operated in the current location for 23 years, opening on August 31, 1983, after relocating from an office near Pine and Emporia in Wichita. It is estimated that over 50,000 pre-born babies were aborted there.
The abortion mill captured the attention of local pro-lifers during the 1991 Summer of Mercy when a Pastor’s Rescue, led by Operation Rescue tactical director Jeff White, resulted in the arrests of 80 members of the clergy in what was likely the largest incident of civil disobedience by pastors in the history of the pro-life movement.
Small groups of sidewalk counselors have faithfully offered help to women at that location ever since.

Abortion and the Reductio ad Hitlerum

If you are about to lose a debate, call your opponent a Nazi! Such a charge brings all subsequent argumentation to a screeching halt. Calling someone a racist is almost as effective. The reductio ad Hitlerum, as University of Chicago Professor Leo Strauss named the fallacy, takes the following form: “Adolf Hitler, or Nazis in general, supported X; therefore X must be evil.” The fallacy is a form of the Genetic Fallacy which is an attempt to endorse or disqualify a claim because of its genesis, its origin.
<BLOCKQUOTE>
Example:Adolf Hitler conceptualized the development of a “people’s car” which was later manufactured as the “Volkswagen.” Because the car’s origin is related to Adolf Hitler, who was an evil person, we should not purchase or drive a Volkswagen today.</BLOCKQUOTE>
Following this logic, dog lovers should reject German Shepherds since the breed was Hitler’s favorite. He also opposed Communism, labor unions, and feminism. Labor unions and feminism are foundational planks in the liberal political platform along with abortion and homosexuality. Germany’s anti-smoking campaign is reminiscent of the movement as it is expressed and formulated in the United States today:

Germany had the world’s strongest anti-smoking movement in the 1930s and early 1940s, encompassing bans on smoking in public spaces, bans on advertising, restrictions on tobacco rations for women, and the world's most refined tobacco epidemiology, linking tobacco use with the already evident epidemic of lung cancer.2</BLOCKQUOTE>
The United States is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Interstate Highway System. It was created in 1956 when Dwight Eisenhower signed the Federal-Aid Highway Act. The Interstate system covers 46,876 miles. “As commander of the Allied Forces in World War II, he admired Germany’s countrywide autobahn highway system.”3 Hitler was a big supporter of the autobahn.
Steven Conn, a writer for the History News Service and an associate professor of history at Ohio State University, pulls out the Reductio ad Hitlerum card in the abortion debate.

During the 20th century, the control of women’s reproductive lives marked the most despicable regimes. Among the first things the Nazis did upon seizing power in 1933 was to outlaw abortion. Family planning centers were closed, access to contraception made increasingly difficult and abortion criminalized. By 1943, the Nazis made abortion a capital offense punishable by the death penalty.”4</BLOCKQUOTE>
Adolf Hitler liked dogs, supported animal rights, promoted gun control, ate food, wore clothes, drove an automobile, liked sports, and didn’t smoke. Let’s send Mr. Conn an email and ask if he has ever driven on an Interstate Highway or admired a Volkswagen Beetle. He might be a Nazi!

As we near Independence Day, I pray we will reflect upon our Christian heritage and the courageous men who founded our nation.

May our Bibles, Hymnals and U.S. History books be based upon truth and may we once more learn to love our Christian heritage that was bought and paid for by the blood of the patriots who rebelled against tyranny and founded our nation upon the Rock of Christ Jesus.

As it is, more churches heard sermons in praise of open borders than of the God who gives life last Sunday.
Gee, of the mother of the pre-born twins had been an "immigrant" from Nigeria, would the doctors have been in such a hurry to kill—or the media so quiet?

They say twins share a strong bond - but the one between Gabriel and Ieuan Jones was unbreakable.
When doctors found that Gabriel was weaker than his brother, with an enlarged heart,and believed he was going to die in the womb, his mother Rebecca Jones had to make a heartbreaking decision.
Doctors told her his death could cause his twin brother to die too before they were born, and that it would be better to end Gabriel's suffering sooner rather than later.
Mrs Jones decided to let doctors operate to terminate Gabriel's life.
Firstly they tried to sever his umbilical cord to cut off his blood supply, but the cord was too strong.
They then cut Mrs Jones's placenta in half so that when Gabriel died, it would not affect his twin brother.
But after the operation which was meant to end his life, tiny Gabriel had other ideas.
Although he weighed less than a pound, he put up such a fight for survival that doctors called him Rocky.
Astonishingly, he managed to carry on living in his mother's womb for another five weeks - until the babies were delivered by caesarean section.
Now he and Ieuan are back at home in Stoke - and are so close they are always holding each other's hand.
Mrs Jones, 35, a financial adviser whose husband Mark, 36, is a car salesman, said: "It really is a miracle. Doctors carried out an operation to let Gabriel die - yet he hung on.
"It was unbelievable."

The murder of innocent children is one of the key (of many) reasons our "Roman Empire" is in the midst of decline. As a father of four, I cannot think of many things more disgustingly repugnant than the murder of a baby. Until/unless Roe v. Wade is overturned, our Constitutional Republic will continue it's rapid disintegration.

Killer Tiller has been the bane of babyhood for many, many years. Missing in action from all the news coverage (maybe even in prolife commentaries) is the impossibly ugly but truthful word, ABORTIONIST. Libs and intellectual cowards refer to Tiller as an abortion doctor</span>, one of the most insufferably crazy Orwell-oxymorons in the loony liberal lexicon. (You know, like "pro-choice"?)
When we were kids the word ABORTIONIST was one of the most fearsome, flesh-crawling in the dictionary. Back when the "procedure</span>" was illegal, most people never said, thought or wrote it -- it wasn't necessary, it was as if it didn't exist. If you read it in the wonderfully anti-feticidal Readers Digest it was in some story programmed to strike mortal horror in you.
Nowadays people still fear to mention it, but for other reasons. The socially proper are now surrounded with feticide culture and noise, but still don't want to call at thing by its true name, which is one of the main reasons the curse continues </span>generation after generation. Liberals don't want to hear or say or print the word ABORTIONIST because it harks back to civilization</span>.
If -- and only if -- you want to know how truly macabre liberal/heathen ameriKa can get, read the Wikipedia article on Killer Tiller. It's so grotesque I'm not even going to give the link this time. This creep passed as a normal human being, an average Lutheran church pew-warmer, even a hero to many..... but this could only occur in a "Hitchcock's Psycho</span>" nation / Bizzarro planet like the Untied Skates of Aferica.
BTW, I don't for one minute believe the jive about there being few late-term feticidists left. The stuff is going on all around us, above ground and under it. SC has only two remaining acknowledged feticide factories, but you can "get an abortion" in at least one other medical center in (for instance) Greenville. You have to ask around but can probably have the "procedure</span>" "performed</span>" in any medium to large city in the country.
Pity the poor ameriKan child who grows up knowing her parents took out a contract on a sibling they could have had. I believe there are many such kids.
The bottom line about "abortion" (as the masses insist on calling it) is that it's a gigantic money-maker. Never mind the "moral" crusade for "reproductive rights" or choice, the killers are making trainloads of money at it. They're known to use psychological manipulation to hustle women into it, including the Roe v. Wade case on which the whole house of cards stands. If there was any compassion about the feticide crusade, the mothers would insist on (and the killers would provide) anesthesization of the doomed before the "procedure" is "performed".
